Here is another thing very traditional in Spain : Chupitos ( shots) :)!
They made a lot of different ones, with different flavors, for all of taste – just to make you drunk and have fun.
Gato Negro is one of the bars from Espit Chupitos, locate in Eixample with almost 100 different kind of chupitos.
The funniest ones for me are “Monica Lewinsky”, “Harry Potter” , and the best one “Condom”.

Have fun 🙂
You MUST go there!
It’s a great place to drink cava (Spanish champagne) and eat tapas/sandwiches. And with HIGH quality and low price 🙂 With 6 euros you can get drunk and eat well 🙂 . Besides all of this, there is such a great energy a lot of young(party) people! It’s always full of people, and I recommend to make some space for yourself in the “barra” close to the toilets. You are not going to regret 🙂
By the way, you can go there in the lunch time, or in the afternoon (it’s the better time to buy bottles of Cava) or for dinner! And I strongly recommend the Cava roja! 🙂

Ps: Here are some tips about “how” you should order your food/drink:
1)Go to Manolo (this guy with grey t-shirt in my picture-his is the friendly one) and ask him all things you want to eat and drink.
2)He will memorize your face and take a note in a paper.
3)When you need to “refuel” your glass or ask for more food, the same person need to go to Manolo and bring the old glass, he will put the drink.
4)We you are done, go to him and ask for the bill “La cuenta”. Please remember of only ask when you finish!
Go to street or any book store and buy books with 10% of discount.
If you buy it on FNAC in El Triangle you also get a rose for free 🙂
Happy Sant Jordi !
Cinemas verdi http://www.cines-verdi.com/barcelona/ are one of few cinema in Catalunya who play the movies in English with Spanish subtitles. The most of the cinemas have the movie in Spanish (or in CATALAN wtf for gOd sake!). So, I strongly recommend you if you are starting learn Spanish to go there to try to read the subtitles. Besides, because it is in Grácia,it have a vintage look (even with 9 rooms) , it’s really cool.
Tapaç 24 it’s also a Tapas bar but completly different from the traditional one’s.
If you are Spanish or know a about food you must have heard about Ferran Adrià, the Spanish (Catalan) considered by a lot of people the best chef in the world. His main restaurant El Bulli is located a feel kilometers from Barcelona and to eat there you have to book it 1 or 2 years before , he is really well know here. But I’m not here to talk about him…
This post is about Tapaç,24, the Carles Abellan’s tapas bar. Carles Abellan worked several years with Ferran Adrià(no less) and decided to have his own project called http://www.projectes24.com/ . But , as I said before, in Spain you should eat Tapas, for small (and awesome) food there is Tapaç,24, a tapas bar very fancy and well decorate, with huuuuuge lines (the last time I went there I waited 1 hour) with no previous booking, but it worth it.
He make his own version of classic Spanish Tapas, changing some flavors and giving the special taste to it all. I strongly recommend to eat the Bikini (mix sandwich made with truffles and Spanish ham), it’s a little expensive but you are going to feel like you are in the heaven. Here are the website http://www.tapas24.net/.
It’s impossible to to Spain and don’t go to a tapas bar.
This place can look too small or a little bit weird at the first look but as soon you come inside you can feel the “Spanish vibration” haha. “El Tropezon” in my opinion is the most Spanish and with great traditional food that I know in Barcelona.
Every friend that I brought there loved it,is kind of magical thing.
I would suggest you to ask “Patatas bravas” (fried potatoes with garlic and a little bit spice sauce), “Bomba picante”(balls of potato’s with very spice sauce), “Pimientos Padron” y “Pescaditos”. But they also have ton of other great dishes and for less than 10 euros you can eat a lot and drink good sangria 🙂

I’m always surprised when I cut my hair there. The Anthony Llobet hair salon, is an English hairdresser in-cro-yable and with good prices in different districts of Barcelona. My favorite is the Grácia salon because it is the oldest one(and largest) and it’s decorated vintage-super cool.
Today I went to cut my hair and they were shooting a film about the owner of the salon, Anthony Llobet, and I even had to sign a contract authorizing my image appear in the video.
My favorite hairdresser is Fez, your hair can looks “horrible” and he is going to let it wonderful.
Well, the website is http://www.anthonyllobet.com/ and to get there the nearest metro station is Fontana – green line.
If you are only visiting Barcelona, I would recommend you go there anyway, because for just 28 euros you can have a great haircut and can practice English! And I recommend lot to cut with Fez, he is amazing and does exactly what you request.
Sempre me surpreendo quando vou cortar o cabelo.
